Weekends are the best, especially when Daddy doesn’t have to work Monday morning. The Sunday before Columbus day was gorgeous, so we decided it was the perfect day for apple picking! We packed up the car and headed out for the afternoon. We thought of visiting both the pumpkin patch and the apple orchard, but in the end (due to extremely long lines – apparently everyone else also had our brilliant idea…) we opted for just the orchard. Fortunately the farm has bins of already picked pumpkins, so while we were waiting to check out I picked three small pumpkins for us.And because Monday was another gorgeous day, we explored a park not too far from home: Gunpowder Falls State Park. Sadly, we were hoping for a waterfall, but instead we learned that the park gained it’s name from the fast moving water found along some points of the river. We had packed lunch and ate on the rocks in the middle of the river. Here are my boys enjoying the “falls”:Hooray for beautiful fall days and extra long weekends with Daddy!
